Penguins

PENGUINS

By: Amanda

Penguins are a group of flightless, aquatic birds that live mostly in the southern hemisphere, especially Antarctica. Penguins eat krill, fish and squid. Emperor penguins are the largest living penguins, but the smallest penguin is the Little Blue Penguin. There are seventeen species of endangered penguins, that means that they cannot be killed and eaten, and there eggs may not be collected. In the water, some penguin predators include the leopard seal, the fur seal, sea lions, sharks or killer whales. When they are on land, their predators include foxes, snakes, and other predators like feral dogs, cats and stoats eat the eggs and chicks of some penguin species, including the yellow eyed and Galapagos penguins.

Taking Brownies To The Fire Fighters Because Of 9\11.

By: Amanda

Thank You!

Dear fire fighters,
Thank you very much for helping our country. I appreciate that you are always there to help us when there is a fire or an emergency. I also am thankful for how fire fighters came to help and save many innocent lives on September 11th, 2001. And so I wrote a poem to show how grateful I am to you guys.

Happiness

Happiness is the color pink like cotton candy at a fair.
It tastes like warm brownies made with love by my mom, fresh from the oven. Happiness smells like flowers growing wildly in my backyard.
It reminds me of how much I love my family and my heroes.
And sounds like the pitter-patter of rain on my window as I fall asleep.
Happiness makes me feel like giving every body a big hug!

Some rabitts also live in Europe, Southeast Asia, Islands of Japan, Samatra, and America. Rabbits live in under ground burrows. They are also herbivores, herbivore is another word for vegetarian. Rabbits cause troiuble by unkempt population control. Rabbits can run about 20 miles per hour. Normal rabbits can jump up to 5 feet long, and 4 feet high if jumping over something.

A Bird Treat

be a mini scientist

  1. Go to the store and buy circular cookies with a hole in the middle, bird seed, string, and peanut butter.
  2. Then take the cookie and the peanut butter, get an adult to get a knife and spread the peanut butter all over the cookie.
  3. Next take the bird seed and sprinkle it all over the cookie that you spread with peanut butter.
  4. After that take the string and tie it through the hole in the cookie.
  5. Last go outside and hang the cookie by the string, to a tree branch.
  6. Now you have your very own bird treat.
